Find your own attitude towards life and aesthetic standards in Huangjueping
CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Express yourself freely with a painting brush in the graffiti street of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, return to the 70s in the transportation teahouse that retains the traditional styles, read a book with a bottle of Tianfu Kele (coke) in Jun Ge’s bookstore, and flip through the albums of the painters in the Himalayan Art Bookstore…
Huangjueping boasts unique humanistic spirits. Undoubtedly, the Jiulong Peninsula, the rivers, the Twin Towers, the tank depot, and the 501 Art Base have lived on the memories of Chongqing generation after generation and become a symbol of contemporary art.
During the upcoming holidays, "Wind, Horses, and Cows" Chongqing Young Designers' Handicraft Exhibition and the Huangjueping Handicraft Art Market, as the sub-events of the 2nd Chongqing Urban Art Festival, will take place in Huangjueping in the form of “exhibition + fair”, allowing visitors to explore their own attitude towards life and aesthetic standards in art.
The exhibition aims to display the new handmade artworks in Chongqing, offer a platform for exchanges between local artists, and create a cultural intellectual property of Huangjueping.
The exhibits include sculptures, artifacts, lacquer paintings, and jewelry which are made of wood, ceramics, lacquer, glass, or stone. The mode of exhibition breaks the audience's stereotype of art exhibition, creates an art space integrating traditional and modern thoughts and focusing on handicrafts and arts, and explores the continuity of art and life and the relationship between art, design, and life aesthetics.
This activity will last from September 29 to October 10. You can visit the market in Huangjueping Sub-district and view the exhibition of handicraft works on the second floor of the Chongqing Peninsula Fine Arts Center. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
