CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- With the geographical connection between Chengdu and Chongqing, and Bayu people have deep friendship. On the afternoon of October 18, the "Chengdu and Chongqing · Bashu Friendship" and the Exhibition of Poetry, Calligraphy, Painting and Seal Cutting for the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Institute for Culture and History of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government opened at Chongqing Art Museum. Citizens can visit for free before October 25.

A total of 128 works were exhibited this time, of which 9 were from China Central Institute for Culture and History, Yunnan Provincial Institute for Culture and History, and Guizhou Provincial Institute for Culture and History and the rest were all works by calligraphers and painters from Sichuan and Chongqing. At the same time, in order to show and record the achievements of the art exhibition, the organizers also selected nearly 70 ancient and modern style poems, which were compiled into the "Chengdu and Chongqing · Bashu Friendship" and the Collection of Poetry, Calligraphy, Painting and Seal Cutting Works of the Institute of Culture and History of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and printed.

For the works exhibited, characters such as regular, official, running, cursive and seal scripts, the figures, landscapes, flowers and birds in traditional Chinese painting, the woodcuts, oil paintings and sculptures, whether in fine or freehand style, whether giant or small in size, are all excellent and exquisite in their own ways, reflecting the new artistic style of the artists and showing the beautiful China and the prosperous and happy life of people of all ethnic groups.

From October 17 to 25, the cultural activities of "Chengdu and Chongqing · Bashu Friendship" and commemorative activities of the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Institute of Culture and History of Chongqing Municipal People's Government will be held one after another.
