CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- JD officially signed with Yangjiaping CBD in Jiulongpo on October 20 to launch the first JD mall in Chongqing, according to the Jiulongpo Commission of Commerce.

It’s the second instagrammable commercial entity opened by JD in Chongqing after it launched the first JD retail experience store in Chongqing in 2019. It’s expected that the JD mall, with an area of up to 60,000 square meters, will be officially unveiled in the first half of 2024.

The JD retail experience store opened in 2019. Data show that in four years, the store has received more than five million customers, and served 27 million users through online and offline services.

After the JD mall opens next year, Chongqing will be home to two JD supermarkets. The two stores will form a “2+4” strategic layout with the other four flagship stores.

The JD mall, focusing on household consumption, intelligent consumption, and green consumption, is a new and all-channel business complex based on the big data of JD Internet of Things (IoT), incorporating immersive experience, cutting-edge and cool technology, marketing of JD products, and urban services.

Under the theme of cool tech, the JD mall will offer more than 50 themed sceneries, such as a D-park (digital amusement park) and a kitchen experience area, incorporate gaming, leisure, entertainment, catering, and other businesses, and concentrate on home appliances, 3C products, home furnishings, and automobiles.

JD has 13 malls in operation and under construction in China, and the total number of JD Flagship Stores for home appliances nationwide will exceed 100.
