Today, the 25th Chongqing Chrysanthemum Exhibition held in Nanshan Botanical Garden from October 26 to November 26 offers us chances to experience such an idyllic rural life.

Under the title of “Glamourous Chrysanthemums in Nanshan, Beautiful Natural Scenery in Chongqing”, the exhibition features 200,000 pots of chrysanthemums (over 500 varieties) and 100,000 pots of herbaceous flowers from 35 institutes in Chongqing and Sichuan.

It is learned that the chrysanthemums are concentrated on the display areas and the tour route is carefully planned based on the conditions of the botanical garden, so as to provide visitors with perfect places to view flowers.

The exhibition, divided into six sections, has five display areas, including the Landscape Avenue in the central botanical garden, Greenhouse Square, Rose Garden, Shiguangnan Music Square, and Bonsai Garden.

Most artificial landscapes in the exhibition are distinctive. For example, the shape of a big boat riding on the sea of chrysanthemums displayed in “Park-like Dadukou, A Colorful Garden for Artists” is lively.

Wansheng Economic Development Zone builds a “Black Valley” with chrysanthemums. A wide range of chrysanthemums in different colors blends well with the background of plant sculptures and mountains of “Black Valley”.

Yuzhong District creates a lively and beautiful landscape featuring the elements of mountains, waters, and towers. The white stone represents the Jialing River, while the grey stone represents the Yangtze River. Various kinds of chrysanthemums at different heights stand for the buildings in Yuzhong District.

During the event, visitors can not only enjoy gorgeous flowers but also participate in various chrysanthemum-themed activities, such as the Han Costume Show, Flash Play, China Chic Cultural Tour, Chrysanthemum Painting, Chrysanthemum Tea Tasting, and Chrysanthemum Appreciation. Besides, they can find their favorite chrysanthemum-themed cultural and creative products and special delicacies in the bazaar.
