CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the evening of October 28, the cruise ship Century Oasis carrying over 300 Thai tourists departed from the Chaotianmen Dock in Chongqing and sailed for Yichang. These tourists will embark on a 4-day, 3-night trip on the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. This is the first Thai ship-chartered tour group for the Three Gorges tour this year.

This time, the cruise ship Century Oasis set out from Chongqing. Along the way, tourists could "slowly explore" the main scenic spots in the urban hinterland along the Yangtze River, enjoying the scenery of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, and experiencing the culture of the Yangtze River. In order to better serve inbound tourists and accurately meet their needs, the cruise ship has also improved services based on the dietary and language habits of Thai tourists.

Li Wenguang, Deputy General Manager of Century Cruises, introduced that Thai tourists visiting the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River this year are mainly small groups consisting of 20-30 people. This is the first time they travel as a large ship-chartered group of over 300 people. It is expected that Century Cruises will receive 1,500 inbound tourists from Thailand this year.

With the recovery of the global tourism market, the market of Three Gorges tour has also continued to heat up. According to data from the Chongqing Shipping Exchange, from January to September this year, a total of 3,973 Yangtze River Three Gorges cruise ships were dispatched, with a total passenger capacity of 1.0284 million people.

Li Wenguang stated that in order to expand overseas markets, Century Cruises has also strengthened its promotion in inbound tourism markets such as North America and Southeast Asia this year, launching a series of distinctive cruise travel products. Among them, the classic picturesque Three Gorges "Chongqing-Yichang" route and the Yangtze River "Chongqing-Shanghai" route are highly popular. Next year, the sister ship of the Century Oasis -- “Century Voyage”, will also be launched. At the same time, another sightseeing cruise ship will be put into use, running from Fengjie to Maoping, Yichang, Hubei, inviting tourists to experience the pleasure of "sailing a thousand miles through Three Georges in a day".
