CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Himalaya Airlines will resume flights to Kathmandu from Chongqing on December 12, according to Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CJIA). It’s the 11th international (regional) passenger route to be resumed, as well as the 3rd international direct passenger route to be resumed following the Chongqing-Sydney and Chongqing-Paris routes during the 2023 Winter-2024 Spring Season.

The Chongqing-Kathmandu route will have two flights operated by Airbus A320 every week. Inbound flight H9787 is scheduled to take off from Kathmandu at 09:25 and arrive in Chongqing at 15:15 on Tuesdays and Fridays; outbound flight H9788 is scheduled to take off from Chongqing at 16:25 and arrive at Kathmandu at 18:35 (all above are local times). Travelers can book tickets through the channels provided by Himalaya Airlines and OTA platforms (flight schedules and ticket prices may change).

It is expected that by the end of the year, CJIA will operate 19 international (regional) passenger routes and offer about 90 flights per week. In the future, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport will continue to improve the international flight route network and support the development of international aviation hubs and inland cities with a new height of openness in Chongqing.
