CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing was officially designated as the City of Design in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN), according to the news released by UNESCO on October 31. It is the first City of Design in western China and the fifth City of Design in China following Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, and Wuhan. As an important support for Chongqing to build a City of Design, Yuelai International Convention and Exhibition City in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing, is committed to building a world-class park of design.

With the focus on building a park of design in Chongqing, Yuelai Investment Group has actively developed training bases for talent in the field of design, design enterprise clusters, exhibition venues for design products, venues for the release of design information release, and sources of excellent designs, by building relevant platforms, creating sound environments, attracting investments, and hosting activities. At the same time, by developing a park of design and a convention and exhibition center, the enterprise plans to create the design intellectual property for Chongqing and gather high-quality design resources from home and abroad.

Up to now, Yuelai International Convention and Exhibition City have successively held the China Manufacturing Design Conference, Yuelai International Design Forum, and the Exhibition of Innovative Development Achievements in Industrial Design in China, won several important awards such as "World Design Industrial Park", "World Green Design Park" and "City of Automobile Design", and established Chongqing Automotive Industry Ecological Service Chain Innovation Alliance.

As the “showroom” of Chongqing Design Park, Yueshe Innovative Art Center is committed to building achievements display platforms, investment promotion platforms, R&D training centers, and international exchange centers, which will be completed and used in 2020. It has successfully introduced top master studios represented by Liu Guanzhong and Deng Wenwen, and professional and cutting-edge design organizations represented by Leo Infinite (Leiao Wuxian) and Suozhi Automotive Design.

It is worth mentioning that the transfer vehicles used by the Shenzhou XVI crew were designed by Leo Infinite. "Astronauts stay in the space station for a long time, which poses a greater challenge for them to adapt to the gravity environment on the ground after returning to Earth." Since 2013, Leo Unlimited has cooperated with the Astronaut Center of China to undertake the design and R&D projects, such as the Ecological Shelter of Southern Research Institute of Space Science and Technology, Research on Human Factors Engineering Design of Space Station Equipment, and Groud Training Equipment.

Phase II of Chongqing Design Park – Innovation Base, is an intelligent ecological park incorporating industrial design industry chains, service and recreation located at Yuegang Avenue, Yuelai International Convention and Exhibition City, Liangjiang New Area. The project plans to introduce enterprises and institutions in the fields of industrial design, creative design, science and technology intelligent manufacturing. It’s expected that the project will be completed and put into use in 2025. Upon completion, it will make efforts to build the "National Industrial Design Demonstration Zone" and "The International City of Design", contribute to the introduction of upstream and downstream industrial chains of the industrial design industry, and seize the leading position in industrial design.

Phase III of Chongqing Design Park –Design Headquarters, and Phase IV of Chongqing Design Park – Exhibition, Exchange, and Supporting Service Area, have completed the preliminary planning and design and will start construction after the Innovation Base is completed. Meanwhile, Yuelai International Convention and Exhibition City has continued to improve its talent support system by establishing the Yuelai Campus of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, which will continuously supply talented personnel for Chongqing Design Park in the future.
