CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Under the title of “the Lao Gào (old photos) of a city”, the Chongqing Photography Exhibition was held in Shancheng Lane on November 3, where old photos carry people back to the good old times in Chongqing.

The faces of Chongqing people from different periods are shown in Shancheng Lane.

"Lao Gào" is the pronunciation of “老窖”, which refers to people, things, and objects that have survived the test of time in Chongqing dialect.

The exhibition, laid out along the staircases of Shancheng Lane, consists of three sections, namely the People of Chongqing, the City of Chongqing, and the Spirit of Chongqing. The photos exhibited tell the rapid development and dramatic changes of Chongqing over the years and showcase the historic events and cultural charm of Chongqing.

The riverside trail built on the stone wall of Shancheng Lane is also one of the exhibition areas.

The City of Chongqing includes a lot of Chongqing landmarks, such as Chongqing People's Auditorium, Jiefangbei, Chaotianmen, Hongyadong, and Yangtze River Cableway. These historical images and modern works present us with the image of a lively city.

More than 100 representative photographs were collected and selected by the organizers from nearly 1,000 photos submitted before being exhibited in Shancheng Lane. Photos taken by different photographers and photography enthusiasts with the same camera are also exhibited in Shancheng Lane, which are the photos they want to treasure the most.
