CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 17th Wushan International Red Leaves Festival will start on November 18. As Wushan is a popular tourist attraction for its gorgeous red leaves in autumn, most out-of-town visitors want to know which tourist routes will provide the best view of red leaves.

To help tourists prepare for their travel plans, four tourist routes were launched at the press conference on the 17th Wushan International Red Leaf Festival.

Route 1: “Small Three Gorges·Smaller Three Gorges + Dachang Ancient Town” loop line involving water and land transport: Wushan Visitor Center→Small Three Gorges→Smaller Three Gorges→Dachang Ancient Town→Wushan-Dachang Highway→Wushan County. This route offers chances to witness the natural beauty of Wanshan, gorgeous red leaves, a millennium-old town, and the idyllic countryside, and enjoy boating leisurely.

Route 2: Goddess Heavenly Road + Jintan Peak: Wushan County→Liuping Transfer Center→Yaotai→Feiyuntai→Huangyan Reception Center→Huangyan Cableway→Goddess Heavenly Staircase→Jiulong Cableway→Huangyan Reception Center→Liuping Transfer Center→Wushan County. This route focuses on the magnificent view of the gorges and rivers and the culture of goddesses. Here you can walk through the Goddess Heavenly Road surrounded by the beautiful red leaves and take a closer look at the leaves ablaze with the colors of autumn.

Route 3: Traveling around the Health and Wellness City: Wushan County→Jiangdong New City →Ningjiangdu→Yangtze River Bridge→Wenfeng Scenic Area→Wushan County. The Wenfeng Scenic Area is a national 4A tourist attraction where visitors can overlook the red leaves, the smooth lake rising in the gorges, the Yangtze River, the Wu gorge from the top of the hill, and listen to Taoist meditation music in a woodland walkway.

Route 4: Xiazhuang Heavenly Road. Xiazhuang in Zhuxian Township has been rated as a national 4A tourist attraction, a national key village for rural tourism, and one of the 100 Red Tourism Routes in China. With a total length of eight kilometers, the route starts from the valley to the top of the mountain, covered by the multi-colored forest.
