"Warm Economy Heats up" in new round of cooling twice more hot spring tickets booked than last year

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- China has recently seen a new round of cooling. According to the forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, following the rain and snow in the north, the temperature in the central and eastern China should also reach a new low around this weekend, and many tourists have started healthy and cold-escaping tours such as hot springs and island tours. Data from Ctrip show that, since last weekend, the search interest of keyword "hot spring" has increased significantly by 50% from the previous 5 days, and the peak time of booking also arrives about a week earlier than last year. As of November 8th, the TOP10 popular cities for hot spring tourism orders booked until the end of the year are Chongqing, Beijing, Changzhou, Zhuhai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Huizhou, Kunming and Zhongshan.

With the sudden drop in temperature, hot spring has become a favorite option for folks who just want to get away from the coldness. As autumn coms, hot spring halls and hotels in cities are getting popular, and more city dwellers are looking for hot springs for their weekend.

The data shows that from last weekend to beginning of winter (November 4 - November 8), the number of bookings of scenic spots with hot springs on Ctrip increased by about 140% from the previous 5 days and doubled compared with last year; The same of hotels labeled with "hot spring", "private spring" and the like increased by nearly 20% compared with the previous 5 days and increased by more than 150% compared with last year.

Where the economy heats up the most? According to Ctrip, as of November 8, the TOP10 popular cities for hot spring travel orders booked until the end of the year are Chongqing, Beijing, Changzhou, Zhuhai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Huizhou, Kunming and Zhongshan.

Chongqing owns a wealth of hot springs. According to relevant statistics, by the end of 2022, there were 169 hot springs in Chongqing, 110 of which are open at present, accounting for 65% of the total number, including 95 drilling hot springs and 15 natural hot springs. After years of development, Chongqing has formed a pattern of national and even world-famous hot springs represented by "East, South, West and North" springs, "Tongjing Hot Springs" and "Ronghui Hot Springs". In 2012, Chongqing was awarded the title of "Hot Spring Capital of the World" by the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy.

This winter, lovers are also looking for hot springs abroad.
