CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 1st JSQ freight train from Chongqing to Europe, loaded with 232 vehicles manufactured by Great Wall Motors in Yongchuan, with a total value of about 42 million yuan, departed from Langantan Station in Yongchuan on November 14.

Before the JSQ freight trains were launched, products made in Yongchuan had to be transported to the train station by road first, and the 100-kilometer traveling distance and the unloading and unloading process caused an increase in operation time and costs. Today, the products can be transported from Chongqing to Europe directly by JSQ freight trains, and international intermodal transport shortens the logistics time by two and three days.

The special railway line for the Yongchuan National High-tech Zone was commenced by Yongchuan District after gaining support from the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, Chongqing’s Government, Chengdu Railway Bureau, and the related departments, so as to meet the logistics demand of enterprises in the industrial park. The railway line was opened to traffic last April. The venue for loading and unloading vehicles is only one bridge to the finished product warehouse of Great Wall Motors so that the vehicle products can take a JSD train to Europe at the doorway!

The opening of the special freight train achieves the goal of transporting the products from Yongchuan to Europe directly and helps enterprises in Yongchuan and its neighboring areas to open up new markets in Europe, said the Chongqing Port and Logistics Office.
