CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced on November 14 that eight authorities, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Transport, have issued the Notice on Launching the First Batch of Pilot Zones for Comprehensive Electrification of Vehicles in the Public Field and selected 15 cities such as Beijing and Chongqing as the pilot cities. Beijing, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Chengdu, and Zhengzhou are designated as the first-category pilot cities.

The Notice states that it is encouraged to explore and form several replicable and scalable experiences and modes, to play a demonstrative and driving role in the comprehensive market-oriented expansion of alternative fuel vehicles and the construction of green and low-carbon transport systems.
