2023-11-27 11:47:47

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing, Guizhou, and Guangxi will work together to build the “electric passage” for the new western land-sea corridor (highway), according to the 2023 China Transportation Industry Economic Association & Liangjiang Transportation Industry Innovation and Development Forum held on November 23 in Chongqing.

According to the agreement, the three parties will install charging stations for new-energy heavy trucks and other supporting facilities along the Chongqing-North Gulf highway of the new western land-sea corridor to promote the charging stations and battery bank service for new-energy heavy trucks and provide customized service for the new-energy Chongqing-North Gulf highway. At the same time, the three parties will establish an industrial alliance to jointly select the road network, formulate plans for station layout, establish standards for charging technology and service and a common working mechanism, and set up a joint conference for constructing new-energy logistics trunks for the new western land-sea corridor (highway).

With a total length of 1,000 kilometers, the electric passage for the Chongqing-North Gulf highway will be equipped with six or seven pairs of charging stations, which stand at intervals of about 150 kilometers. It is expected that the entire passage will be completed in 2026. These stations include the Demonstrative Heavy Truck Charging Stations established in the Chongqing-Hunan Highway Service Center and the charging stations to be built in the Lihuashan Highway Service Center on the Jiangbei-Qijiang highway. The former have been the first charging stations that have started operation in the electric passage, and the latter is expected to be completed next year.
