Start winter trips in Chongqing’s scenic spots

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission issued a document titled "Measures to Restore and Expand Consumption." In terms of cultural and tourism consumption, the measures highlight the encouragement for scenic spots to diversify the "tourism + consumption" business and promote the development of "tourism + performing arts" and "tourism + sports" business.

It is informed that many scenic spots in Chongqing are actively exploring innovative integration of culture and tourism, adding new elements to winter tourism. Recently, the 25th Gold Buddha Mountain Snow Festival opened in Nanchuan, featuring a series of activities such as fun sports games, educational programs, and family-oriented sports. Wulong Fairy Mountain Scenic Area has launched unique winter activities including ice sculpture exhibitions and snowmobile rides, in addition to snow-viewing activities.

In order to boost the economy of cultural and tourism activities and promote winter tourism, Fuling Mexin Wine Town scenic area will kick off the "Winter Tourism Consumption Season" during the "Greater Snow", which will run until February 2024. During this period, the scenic area will introduce a series of cultural and tourism activities, including the brewing of new wine, a heartwarming banquet for the Winter Solstice, the Lunar New Year Cultural Festival, the Warm Winter Sports Games, the Intangible Cultural Heritage New Year Goods Fair, and the bonfire party. These activities will welcome visitors from all directions.

In addition, the scenic area will also implement various measures to stimulate winter tourism consumption. These include distributing New Year task cards, visiting the eight new scenic spots of Mexin Wine Town, offering a cable car tour, implementing strategies for travel agencies to attract visitors, and providing discounts on combined online and offline ticket packages. These initiatives aim to fully boost winter tourism consumption.

To strengthen the "Internet + culture and tourism" new marketing model, the scenic area will collaborate with multiple internet platforms to simultaneously launch online discount policies and products. Among them, from December 4, 2023, to January 21, 2024, visitors can purchase a discounted ticket for 49.9 yuan (original price 105 yuan) through various online platforms. This ticket adopts a "multiple-use, multi-day" mechanism, allowing visitors to choose from nearly a hundred activities to meet their diverse needs and preferences.
