CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- With a new round of temperature drops, the Chongqing Fairy Mountain at an average altitude of 1900 meters saw heavy snow. The 14th Fairy Mountain Ice and Snow Festival will start on December 23, 2023, said the Fairy Mountain Scenic Spot.

Different from the first snowfall in November, the snowfall in Fairy Mountain is heavy this time, with the prairie, ticket offices, outdoor ski resorts, roads, and 430,000 mu of forests and plains in the scenic area covered with beautiful white snow.

In addition to the dreamlike snow-covered landscape and skiing, the most exciting part of Wulong Fairy Mountain in winter includes a wide range of snow activities offered by the annual Fairy Mountain Ice and Snow Festival.

At the opening ceremony for the event, tourists can participate in various fun activities, such as Singing and Dancing, Tug-of-war Competition, Snowman Making Race, Snow Frisbee, Snow Gyroscope, Snowfield Zorbing, Cooking Tea around Fireplaces, Vegetable Challenge, Ice and Snow Treasure, Mini-marathon, and some parent-child activities. The Ice and Snow Festival will last until the end of February 2024.

Wulong Fairy Mountain has always been an important destination for people in Chongqing and southwest China to enjoy the snow-covered landscape and have fun with snow activities in winter, which offers various kinds of snow events such as Snowfield Flying Saucers, Ski Boats, and Sledding.
