To satisfy the travel demand of visitors and facilitate the evacuation of passenger flow at night, Chongqing Rail Transit Group will adopt a differentiated scheme to extend the operating hours of some CRT lines by one or two hours on December 31 based on the characteristics of the night traffic as follows:

The departure interval of Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, and Line 6 during the extended working hours will be about 4 minutes; the departure interval of Line 10 and Loop Line will be 6 or 7 minutes; the departure interval of Line 5 and Line 9 will be about 9 minutes. The maximum number of trains on the CRT network will be 246, an increase of 11 trains compared to the weekends.

In addition, the operating hours of Loop Line will be extended by one hour during the period between December 30, 2023 and January 1, 2024. The operating hours of the whole Loop Line will be extended to 23:30; the operating hours of the Erlang-Sigongli section and the Chongqing Library-Haitangxi section will be extended after 23:30.
