CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- At 14:48 on Jan 4, the Y997 tourism train carrying more than 600 passengers left Chongqingbei Railway Station and headed to Xichangxi Railway Station, starting a pleasant trip in the warm sun this winter. It is the first inter-provincial tourism train for 2024 in Chongqing.

During the six-day trip, the tourism train will lead tourists to visit famous scenic spots such as Lugu Lake, Tangyuan, Qionghai Lake, and Jiushijiuli Hot Spring on Luoji Mountain and taste Xichang barbecue, Yi nationality specialty food and other delicacies, satisfying passengers’ desires for a diverse, flexible, convenient, safe, comfortable and affordable trip to the greatest extent.

“This is a sleeper train, so it's very comfortable. It’s also fast. It’s pleasant to travel by train. We want to visit Xichang,” said Mr. Zhao, a tourist from Chongqing.

To launch the first inter-provincial tourism train for 2024, Chongqing Passenger Company has set up a train crew in a timely manner to focus on the quality control of bedding.
