CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Flight KR963 landed at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 22:14 on January 6, which marked the official opening of the regular passenger route from Chongqing to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. This is the first international passenger route resumed in Chongqing this year.

The route, operated by Cambodia Airways, offers two flights (A319/A320) per week. The departure flight departs Phnom Penh at 19:10 and arrives in Chongqing at 22:30 every Monday and Saturday, and the return flight departs from Chongqing at 23:30 and arrives in Phnom Penh at 2:55 the next day. The inbound journey takes three hours and 20 minutes, while the outbound journey takes three hours and 25 minutes. All above are local times.

Phnom Penh is the capital of Cambodia, with a long history and rich cultural heritage, where tourists can witness the elegant Khmer architecture, taste the aromatic street food, stroll along Lake Tonle Sap, and experience ancient and modern Cambodian culture.

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport operates 21 flight passenger routes and offers more than 100 passenger flights every week, including flights to London, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Budapest, Sydney, Doha, and Dubai. The airport plans to open the airline route from Chongqing to Milan, and will actively promote the opening of airline routes to New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Manila, Jakarta, Vientiane, and Rangoon to accelerate the improvement of the international (regional) passenger route network and to help Chongqing construct an international aviation hub.
