CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- “A good choice of major makes the final examination like the college entrance examination”. College students are most afraid of failing their final exams. Today, I will share with you the “secret” to not failing – owning a review note that is logically clear, focused, and well prepared.

Approaching the end of the term, it is difficult to find a seat in the self-study room at Chongqing Normal University. Even during lunchtime, many students are still studying hard in their seats. Their books are filled with sticky notes with formulas, as well as handwritten bookmarks... These notes not only carry knowledge and the dreams of students, but also jog many people’s memory.

Many medical students mock themselves when facing the final exams by saying "Those persuade others to study medicine will be struck by lightning and split into two halves".

Wu Ling, a student majoring in nursing of Grade 2022 at Chongqing Medical University, although joking like this, go over the lessons very carefully. She would take the exams of 14 courses this semester, and in order to make a quick breakthrough, she borrowed notes of major courses that have been “passed down” for many years from a senior schoolmate.

Nowadays, college students are very fond of “electronic notes”. Wu Ling told the reporter that some apps have become “standard configuration” in the classroom. They record in class and sort out notes with software. It is very efficient to take notes like this and notes will not be easy to lose.

Wang Yuyan, a student majoring in pediatrics of Grade 2021 at Chongqing Medical University, had the darkest circles during the final review period. The notes she presented on renal tuberculosis which is just one of the diseases of urinary system, are just the tip of the iceberg in the content of examination. "Patients are unlikely to get sick based on what you know. The better I learn, the greater the hope that patients can be saved," she said.

Faced with the final exams, Gu Jiayin, a bright and cheerful guy who is 1.8 meter tall and a student majoring in medical imaging of Grade 2021 at Chongqing Medical University, once cried in the dormitory because he couldn't memorize his notes. While chatting with the reporter, he suddenly patted his thigh and said, “I regret it so much. Why didn't I review earlier?”

Drawing is a specialty of art students? Not necessarily. Some medical students may be better at drawing than art students. In order to better understand anatomy, Liu Lanting, a student majoring in ophthalmology and optometry of Grade 2022 at Chongqing Medical University, drew human muscles and meridians on her notebook. For a book of four to five hundred pages, she needed to digest all the significant and difficult knowledge, so drawing became the key to assisting her in reviewing. She also digitized and picturized her notes, so that she could sort out and review them anytime and anywhere.

Liu Yuyuan, a student majoring in Language and Literature (Normal) major of Grade 2021 at Chongqing Normal University, is sorting out her notes on Foreign Literature.

She admitted that at the end of the term, she was hovering back and forth on the brink of collapse. No matter how much you write on paper, it's in vain if you don't memorize them. For students of pure liberal arts, memory is everything. At this moment, she urgently needed a piece of "memory bread" to let all knowledge enter her mind and heart.

Unlike other classmates who were reciting crazily, Chen Lin, a student majoring in news and communication of Grade 2023 at Chongqing Normal University, appeared less anxious. She will take the exam of a practical course, and as for the basic knowledge of camera usage needed to be mastered, she has already become proficient in it. "The master teaches the trade, but the apprentice's skill is self-made." Chen Lin said that her "review notes" was taken in normal time.

"During the home stretch for final examination, everyone will start the mode 'continuing studying by lamplight’." Luo Ting, a student majoring in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at Chongqing Normal University, told the reporter that she was preparing for the exam of functions of real variable and had taken a lot of notes, which was also very difficult to understand. Look, these notes were rich in content and taken neatly, but how can one learn the knowledge of mathematics well just by taking detailed notes?

Last September, the School of Archaeology and Museology of Chongqing Normal University was established, which is the first school of Archaeology in Chongqing. Li Qian, a student majoring in Cultural Relics and Museology of Grade 2021 of the school, said that even though the course was scheduled tightly and there were many knowledge to memorize, the depth of knowledge, the mission of archaeology, and the passion for cultural heritage all encouraged her to bravely face challenges and aspire to become an excellent "archaeologist".
