On January 12, the opening ceremony of Chongqing Time • 2024 New Year Culture Fair and the Award Ceremony of New Chongqing 2023 • Citizen Image Plan were held in Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street.

Calligraphers were writing Spring Festival couplets and Chinese character “Fu” for citizens for free at the fair. The Yuzhong District Intangible Cultural Heritage Project, cooperating with the national intangible cultural heritage project "Wang's Shadow Puppetry" from Shaanxi, showcased a series of books for children, and cultural and creative products both in and out of the classroom, leading children on a journey of learning and exploration... At the fair, cultural activities on video, reading, and cultural travel were conducted.

The fair was divided into three exhibition areas: "Cultural and Intangible Cultural Heritage", "International Cultural Consumption", and "Travel and Outdoor Equipment". Among them, the "Cultural and Intangible Cultural Heritage" exhibition area was in the charge of several institutions such as Chongqing Publishing Group, Chongqing Popular Science Culture Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., China Three Gorges Museum of Chongqing, etc., focusing on showcasing the intangible cultural heritage projects at national, municipal and district levels such as Wang's Shadow Puppetry and Grass Cloth in Rongchang, presenting ancient intangible cultural heritage in a dynamic manner and interacting with citizens, in order to make the city full of vitality and improve the consumption power of the "mother city".

The fair will last to January 20, during which cultural activities such as the "I Want to Idle away with You" video sharing salon, the Chongqing Urban Reading Plan 2024 · Drifting Plan for Books, and the Literary Chongqing Sound Energy Resident Plan will be held for citizens.
