CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A heat-warming scene took place on Bus 229 on January 15 in Chongqing: An old lady got on the bus with a wheelchair-bound old man with the help of the bus driver and passengers.

At 10:30 on the morning of January 15, Wu Rongmao, the driver of the Bus 229 from the Yangjiaping Branch of West Public Transport, Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group, saw an old lady push an old man in a wheelchair to walk to the bus stop when he drove to Banshan Bus Stop.

“The old couple may want to take the bus.” Wu Rongmao stopped the bus near the roadside and lowered the floor height of the bus so that the couple could easily get on the bus. Due to the heavy weight of the wheelchair, the old lady failed to push the old man in the wheelchair to get on the bus.

"No hurry, I’m going to help you." Wu Rongmao rushed out of the car and helped the old lady to get on the bus from the back door. The passengers on the bus also came to help lift the old man with his wheelchair into the bus.

Wu Rongmao kept an eye on the old couple throughout the way. When he found out the couple was going to get off, he came to help them get off the bus safely.
