CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 10KV switching station in Hallway J of Terminal T3B in Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has powered on, which means that the Terminal T3B of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has got electricity.

To ensure the smooth implementation of Terminal T3B and the Fourth Runway Project of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, the airport expansion headquarters actively coordinated with all parties to carry out wide-ranging and multi-angle inspection and examination on the incoming cables, high-voltage cabinets, with an aim to ensure all kinds of equipment and facilities were safe and available for successful power transmission.

The second batch of Terminal T3B and the Fourth Runway Project, including 21 remote aircraft stands on Apron 7, taxiways, remote lounges, light stations, and Access 2, has been checked and accepted.

The remote aircraft stands numbered 715 to 735 with their related facilities and equipment were put into operation on January 26, supplementing air transportation resources and improving service capacity and infrastructure protection capability.

With a construction area of about 360,000 square meters, Terminal T3B of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is the single satellite terminal with the largest throughput in the world. It consists of one main corridor and four hallways.

After the project is completed and put into use, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport will have four runways to handle 80 million passenger trips, operate 580,000 takeoffs and landings, and transport 1.2 million tons of cargo throughout the year. The project will further enhance the function of Chongqing as an international aviation hub, and effectively boost the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing world-class airport group and the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
