CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Do you know where the ‘retired’ Chongqing monorail train will be? The scrapped train numbered 206 of Chongqing Rail Transit (CRT) Line 2, which has witnessed the development of the rail transit system with dramatic changes in Chongqing, will appear in the largest children’s park with unpowered amusement facilities in southwest China to offer an immersive experience of learning about rail transport.

Yunyang County is building the largest children’s park with unpowered facilities in southwest China and plans to set up a four-car monorail train on the circular overhead walk in the park.

As the assistant enterprise for Yunyang County, Chongqing Rail Transit Group has initiated the relevant donation work, and cooperated with Chongqing Rail Transit Design Institute, Chongqing CRRC Railway Vehicles, and Chongqing Monorail to design and transform the monorail trains.

The scrapped train has been delivered to the Fuxing Children's Park under construction in Yunyang and is about to complete the final assembly and testing work. All parties strive to complete the project before the Spring Festival of 2024. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
