Hu Henghua meets with consulates in Chongqing and Sichuan

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Hu Henghua, Mayor of Chongqing and Deputy Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the CPC, met with the consuls general of Cambodia, Philippines, Belarus, Japan, Austria, Singapore, Italy, Turkey, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Myanmar, Canada, Pakistan, Australia, Thailand, South Korea and other countries in Chongqing and Sichuan.

Hu Henghua, on behalf of the Chongqing Party Committee, the Chongqing government, and Secretary Yuan Jiajun, expressed gratitude to everyone for their long-term support for the development of Chongqing as a city with a new height of openness and a western international exchange center, saying that thanks to the continuous efforts to promote high-quality development, create high-quality life, and innovate efficient governance, Chongqing has maintained an economic upturn, accelerated the construction of an economic system with higher level of openness, further enhanced the level of international exchanges, and made solid progress in the development of a modern new Chongqing. It is hoped that all Consul Generals in Sichuan and Chongqing will actively introduce Chongqing to their countries, support and participate in the construction of the open platforms of Chongqing and major foreign-related activities, and deepen practical cooperation in various fields to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

The consulates congratulated Chongqing on its achievements in economic and social development at the meeting, saying that Chongqing is a city of development opportunities supported by China's national strategies, such as the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and the New Western Land-sea Corridor, and has a broad space for cooperation with their countries in industrial development, infrastructure construction, education, culture and tourism; and they are willing to actively promote the exchanges and cooperation in politics and businesses with Chongqing to promote common development.
