CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Yongchuan Government signed an agreement with the German Liebherr Group (Gear Processing Technology), one of the top 500 companies in the world, to build its production and assembly base in Yongchuan. Upon completion, the production will serve as the headquarters of the German Liebherr Group to actively undertake part of the production work in Europe and sell products to Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea in the future in addition to the Chinese market.

The German Liebherr Group is the world's leading enterprise in the field of machinery manufacturing and equipment, with more than 150 companies and nearly 50,000 employees all over the world. The company has established divisions for earthwork machinery and equipment, mining equipment, crawler and mobile cranes, maritime cranes, gear technology and automation systems, as well as aviation and transport systems.

The reason why the German Liebherr Group sets up its Chinese headquarters in Yongchuan lies in the facts that the demand for machine tools in the Chinese market is increasingly growing and that the company wants to seize the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative, the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, and the New Western Land-sea Corridor and plan its market in western China.
