CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Since 2021, Wuxi County has carried out the solar street lamp public welfare project themed on “Lighting up the Countryside” in various villages, completing the installation of a total of more than 2,000 solar street lamps, providing security for villagers to travel and work at night, and further enhancing the villagers’ sense of gain and happiness.

It is understood that Chongqing Charity Federation and the charitable associations of all districts and counties have liaised with social organizations to raise funds online and offline for the implementation of the solar street lamp public welfare project themed on “Lighting up the Countryside” since 2018. So far, more than 46,000 solar street lamps have been installed for 606 villages and communities in 156 townships in Chongqing, benefiting more than 500,000 persons.
