CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Ten white-browed penguins coming from Antarctica have settled in their new house in Chongqing, hosting a ‘meet-and-greet’ on February 6 at Chongqing Happy Ocean World.

The much-anticipated Penguin Pavilion was unveiled on February 6, when audiences were excited about the adorable penguins. These little guests from Antarctica are named after the landmarks in Chongqing, such as Chaotianmen and Ciqi Q. All audiences were overwhelmed by the eagerness to take photos with these lovely creatures and record these rare moments in their life.

To welcome these adorable penguins, Chongqing Happy Ocean World has prepared an extraordinary feast for them, the ‘seafood hot pot’, which is a cuisine with distinct Chongqing characteristics. In a short while, the penguins wolfed the fish and shrimp with delight.

The Penguin Pavilion is modeled after the Antarctic ecological environment and equipped with precise temperature control systems, large pools, and other facilities. These penguins have taken a fantastic journey to Chongqing across thousands of miles, which narrows the distance between people and polar creatures and communicates the philosophy of harmony between humans and animals.
