Chongqing tourism makes good beginning

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Development Commission, Chongqing tourism made a good beginning during the Spring Festival holiday. According to statistics, as for overnight visitors, Chongqing received 2,382,900 person-times during the Spring Festival holiday, up 66.9% from last year; and as for 130 tourist attractions included in the statistics monitored, Chongqing received a total of 10,685,000 person-times during the Spring Festival holiday, with a comparable growth rate of 104.3%.

Statistics show that scenic spots received more than one million person-times

Ctrip recently released 2024 Spring Festival Travel Report which shows that the domestic, outbound and inbound tours were blooming everywhere, and the domestic scenic spot ticket orders increased by more than 60% on a year-on-year basis during the Spring Festival.

Chongqing scenic spots also performed well. Chongqing was selected as one of top ten cities with the highest tourism popularity during the Spring Festival holiday, and a number of scenic spots were full of tourists and had limited flow. According to statistics, during the Spring Festival holiday, Ciqikou Ancient Town received 1,303,000 person-times, Hongyadong received 1,071,000 million person-times, Gele Mountain Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery received 206,000 person-times, Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum received 118,000 person-times, and Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway received 112,000 person-times.

With respect to 5A-level scenic spots, Wulong Karst Scenic Spot received 755,000 person-times, Qianjiang Zhuoshui Scenic Spot received 153,000 person-times, Nanchuan Gold Buddha Mountain Scenic Spot received 139,000 person-times, Fengjie White Emperor City Qutang Gorge Scenic Spot received 133,000 person-times, Dazu Rock Carvings Scenic Spot received 131,000 person-times, Youyang Taohuayuan Scenic Spot received 74,000 person-times, Fuling Wuling Mountain Rift Valley Scenic Spot received 65,000 person-times.
