CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 32.15-kilometer Lijia Mountain City Trail is undergoing round-off work and is expected to start operation in April, said Liangjiang New Area on February 22. Upon completion, the trail will stretch over Lijia Children Hospital, Lijia Paradise Walk, Happy Valley, Lijia Intelligent Park, Jinhaiwan Riverside Park, Liuquhe Wetland Park, and rail transit stations including Jinshansi, Lijia, Happy Valley, and Jiuquhe. Also, the whole trail will come with bicycle lanes.

Liangjiang Lijia Mountain City Trail, mainly consisting of three parts: the riverside footpath, the mountain forest footpath, and the street and alley walkway, meets a variety of needs and functions, such as cycling, sports activities, parent-child activities, city sightseeing, and public welfare activities. The width of Lijia Mountain City Trail is three to five meters, and cyclists can travel the length of the trail in one and a half hours. First-class and second-class bicycle parking lots will be set up along the trail to provide easy and enjoyable riding experiences.

Lijia Mountain City Trail offers two bridges for visitors to appreciate the inviting city view of Chongqing, both of which are located in OCT Sports Park. Bridge 2, one of the bridges for landscape viewing, commands some splendid views of Happy Valley and Lijia Peninsula. It is also planted with over 100 jacaranda trees and over 60 Fugenzo cherry trees. It is expected that the trail will open to the public in April.

The completed and in-service sections of the Lijia Mountain City Trail have already attracted many visitors, and the smart fitness facilities in Liyue Youyuan are extremely popular among them. Liyue Youyuan is equipped with nearly ten intelligent fitness facilities, such as intelligent back trainers, intelligent rowing machines, and intelligent walkers, which will offer information about calorie consumption, exercise frequency, and other data of users. After scanning the QR code on the fitness facilities with their phones, users can follow the how-to videos on phones, develop exercise programs, learn fitness knowledge, view exercise data, start a repair request, and share sports rankings.

All kinds of intelligent facilities make the Lijia Mountain City Trail much smarter. There are smart seats in all 21 stations of the trail, which provide wireless charging for phones. What’s more, a smart navigation system is set up at every certain distance along the trail, offering a view of the whole Lijia Mountain City Trail and the accurate location of public restrooms, attractions, and parking lots. In the future, the navigation can provide visitors with detailed roadmaps. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
