CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the "Chenghua Lingjing" Meta-verse Chinese Style Show was released at the People’s Great Hall of Chongqing, showing a cultural and technological journey across time and space with new Chinese style oriental aesthetics.

In 2024, which marks the 130th anniversary of Mei Lanfang's birth, in order to express the remembrance of Mr. Mei Lanfang, "Chenghua Lingjing" Meta-verse Chinese Style Show was created based on Mei Lanfang, a national culture and art IP by integrating XR and AI technologies. On the scene of the event, the opening work of "Chenghua Lingjing" – Young Mei Lanfang's Ascent to the Stage was unveiled, which described the life of Mei Lanfang and showed his classic plays in a digital way.

According to the relevant person in charge of the design party, the entire video, which lasted for nearly three minutes, was created through virtual production + AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content). This is a product that integrates Chinese classic art with digital technology, and provides a new carrier for traditional culture by integrating the beauty of Chinese style into the world of the meta-verse through virtuality and reality combination.

It is understood that the release of this project is a successful attempt to achieve technological innovation and application in the cultural tourism industry in the meta-verse. The organizer stated that in the future, they will combine AI, VR, AR, and block-chain technologies with various cultural and tourism landmarks, urban cultures, and themes that citizens are more concerned about in Chongqing, to create more cultural digital scenes in a new digital way.

It is worth mentioning that after the event, a number of China-Chic VR experience scenes with the theme of "new national style and oriental beauty" will be provided in the People’s Great Hall of Chongqing on the existing basis.

Citizens and tourists can experience the journey of "New looks added in classic operas, time and space painted with shadow" by scanning the QR code on site. With just one photo uploaded, users can instantly transform into classic costume characters such as Lady Yuan, Madam White Snake, Lady Yang, Consort Yu, Xi Shi, Mu Guiying, Hua Mulan, and THE Weaving Maid through AI, AR, and other technologies, with their unique and precious videos recorded. On site, cultural and tourism meta-verse cinema, immersive VR spaces, holographic Chinese style shows, and Chinese style musical dramas will also be played.
