A staff of Chongqing Rail Transit calling for the ride hailing service for a lost seventy-year-old lady to send her home

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- "Yan Yan helped me when I was in trouble, and even paid my fare out of her own pocket, which moved and warmed me a lot!" A few days ago, Ms. Han came to Longxing Station of Line 4 and sent a thank-you letter. Behind this letter, there is a heartwarming story.

At around 8 o'clock on the evening of February 7, Yan Yan, the on-duty head of this station, walked up to an anxious old lady wondering between exits 1 and 3 of the station and asked what happened to her. It turned out that 70-year-old Ms. Han had planned to go to the vicinity of Liangjiang Yuyuan Community after fetching express parcels from her home at Nan'an, but because it was her first time taking the rail transit alone and she didn't know the route, she got lost several times along the way. Therefore, she finally came to Longxing Station.

Yan Yan, who worked at Longxing Station, was very familiar with the nearby communities, so she knew that to go to Liangjiang Yuyuan Community, the lady needed to take Line 4 back to Longyi Avenue Station and then transfer to the bus No. 984.

Considering that it was already past 8:00 pm, Yan Yan contacted the staff at Longyi Avenue Station to verify the closing time of the bus of this route. Upon learning that the bus No. 984 had stopped, Ms. Han was very anxious: "Usually my son picks me up, but today I went out alone. I didn't expect to get lost and couldn’t get home. I'm afraid my family will worry about me."

Seeing this, Yan Yan immediately tried to soothe the lady. Upon learning her address, she called for the online ride hailing service for Ms. Han and paid for the fare out of her own pocket.

"There are few taxis here, and Ms. Han doesn’t know how to call the online ride hailing service. So I call for a ride on a ride hailing app for Ms. Han," said Yan Yan, adding that the old lady wanted to give her the fare, but she politely declined. She said that the fare was not worth mentioning as long as the lady could get home as soon as possible."

"I have been in Chongqing for 3 years, and the warm help of the rail transit staff has made me deeply feel the milk of human kindness in this city. Chongqing is like my second hometown," said Ms. Han. Afterwards, she wrote this letter and sent it to the station, thanking the kind staff of Line 4 of the rail transit.
