CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- China-Europe Railway Express freight train ‘Wulingshan’ bound for Russia departed Xiushan Railway Station on February 28, starting its first trip. It is the first China-Europe Railway Express freight train launched in southeast Chongqing, which marks the addition of a new departure station for China-Europe freight trains in Chongqing.

In recent years, Xiushan County has striven to build an eastern logistics hub, enhance its capacity and level of opening up, actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, accelerate integration into the new western land-sea corridor, and promote the export of Xiushan-made products and Wuling processed products, giving full play to its geographic advantages. From January to February this year, Xiushan County has transported 400 TEU, with the total import and export trade amounting to CNY50 million, an increase of 239%.
