CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The first Orchid Art Exhibition of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle started on February 29 at the Chongqing Garden Expo, exhibiting nearly 2,000 pots of orchids from Sichuan and Chongqing, including Cymbidium goeringii (Rchb. f.) and Cymbidium ensifolium (L.) Sw. The free-for-all exhibition will last until March 10.

Covering a floor area of 3,000 square meters, the Orchid Art Exhibition includes the fine orchid exhibition and evaluation area, the orchid display area, and the orchid sales exhibition area.

The fine orchid exhibition and evaluation area displays nearly 500 pots of orchids, including various new species, selected and sent by orchid enthusiasts from Chengdu, Yibin, Leshan, Luzhou, and Chongqing.

The experts of the organizing committee conducted an on-site evaluation of the works of orchids on the first day of the exhibition, and seven entries won the special gold award.
