CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- SERES is one of the most popular brands in the Chinese auto market in 2024.

Data show that from January to February this year, the sales of SERES new energy vehicles totaled 67,095 units, up 485.37% from last year. The orders of its AITO M7 vehicles have exceeded 150,000, and the orders of its AITO M9 vehicles have exceeded 50,000 since the model was launched 62 days ago.

In addition to its increasing popularity in the Chinese auto market, SERES has gained a foothold in the international market.

According to SERES, its export of automobiles has realized a leap from low-end micro commercial vehicles to high-end intelligent electric vehicles, with the export unit price rising from 5,000 US dollars to over 40,000 US dollars (the retail sales of SERES 5 vehicles exported to Europe exceed 60,000 US dollars). Besides, the company has opened up new markets in Germany, France, and other European countries.

“The New Western Land-sea Corridor has given us great support for exports.” Since 2019, SERES has relied on the New Western Land-sea Corridor to deliver its products. Over the past few years, the changes in the transported goods and routes of the New Western Land-sea Corridor have witnessed the transformational development of SERES.

At first, SERES transported only commercial fuel vehicles through the New Western Land-sea Corridor; today, many SERES intelligent new energy vehicles are loaded into the containers and delivered along the corridor. It’s worth noting that in March last, SERES exported 50 new energy vehicles to Europe by rail-sea intermodal transport along the New Western Land-sea Corridor. It is the first New Western Land-sea Corridor rail-sea intermodal train for the exports of new energy vehicles in Chongqing.

The transportation efficiency has also been significantly improved. Compared with traditional river-sea intermodal transport that requires 30 days to transport SERES car parts to its Indonesian factory, the New Western Land-sea Corridor reduces the transport time to about 18 days, promoting the efficiency of SERES in the production and sales of products.

With the help of the New Western Land-sea Corridor, the export destination of SERIES has gradually expanded from Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, and other Southeast Asian markets to South American and European markets.

The continuous and stable cooperation has made the relationship between SERES and the New Western Land-sea Corridor closer and closer. In 2019, the company transported only 200 TEUs through the New Western Land-sea Corridor, but by 2022, the figure had reached 5,000 TEUs, showing a 25-fold increase.

"Our products have been exported to more than 70 countries and regions in South America, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe." According to SERES, the company has exported more than 500,000 automobiles and established more than 1,000 overseas marketing service networks, three overseas marketing service centers, and eight overseas KD assembly plants.

The New Western Land-sea Corridor has covered 490 regions in 120 countries, which is highly compatible with the commercial and strategic draw of SERES, said the company. In the future, SERES will strengthen its cooperation with the New Western Land-sea Corridor so that there will be more users of Chongqing-made cars in the world. The accelerated export of Chongqing automobiles will contribute to the development of the Belt and Road Initiative. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
