CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the occasion of the 176th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence from 1848 to 1849, the Consulate General of Hungary in Chongqing has held a commemorative activity recently and announced the launch of the "Spring of Budapest" activity of the Western China Hungarian Cultural Festival 2024. At the scene, two cooperation agreements were signed between enterprises from Chongqing and Hungarian enterprises.

The cheerful Chinese folk song Jasmine and the Hungarian famous song Csárdás Dance were played with yangqin, and the guests on site took photos to commemorate. It is reported that the performance was jointly made by Ms. Victoria Herencsar, President of the World Yangqin Association and Hungarian yangqin artist, and Ms. Li Lingling, Vice President of the World Yangqin Association and Chinese yangqin artist.

In addition to the wonderful performance, two cooperation agreements were also signed on site. The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music – Hungarian Cultural Center Beijing and Chongqing Publishing Group signed a cooperation agreement aimed at publishing the notes of travel of Hungarian writer Gambofei in China and recording the memory for him in China. The Hungarian National Wine Promotion Office and Chongqing Grand Century Cruise Co., Ltd. have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at promoting the development of bilateral commercial and tourism relations.

At the opening ceremony, the first China-Hungary Youth International Rubik's Cube Open 2024, one of the "Spring of Budapest" series activities, was also launched at the same time.

Over 100 city competitions in China during this open competition, followed by 6 regional competitions in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Chongqing, and Budapest.
