CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In this spring with warm breeze, volunteers from the School of Art and Communication of Chongqing Metropolitan College of Science and Technology embarked on a special journey. Taking cameras and love with them, they came to Banan Kangting Nursing Home to make up and take wedding photos for the elderly there, and help them realize the dreams that didn’t come true when they were young.

"We learned from the conversation with them that many elderly people couldn’t take wedding photos due to limited conditions when they were young, which became a regret in their hearts." Liu Qiang, Secretary of the Youth League General Branch of the School of Art and Communication of Chongqing Metropolitan College of Science and Technology, introduced that in order to make up for the regret, volunteers from the school launched the "Respect for the Elderly with Skills" activity and decided to use their professional knowledge to take wedding photos for the elderly for free.

On that day, volunteers came to the nursing home early to prepare the scene and debug the equipment. They also prepared many wedding dresses and formal dresses. Photographers patiently guided the elderly to pose for photos, and makeup artists carefully made up for every old people. It was as if the time was turned back and theses old people went back to their youth.

During the photo taking, the nursing home was filled with laughter and joy. The expressions of the elderly, whether shy or happy, were all recorded in photos. This was not only the remembrance of sweet memories, but also a display of their love for life. Thanks to the professional skills and warm service of the volunteers, the activity was carried out successfully, and every elderly person present were moved deeply.
