CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 10th anniversary of China-Europe Railway Express (Yuxinou) was held on March 29 in Chongqing Tuanjiecun Central Station. A China-Europe Railway Express train, loaded with electronic products, machinery parts, daily necessities, and other goods, departed the station and headed for Xinglongchang Station before transporting the goods to Duisburg, Germany.

From 2014 to the end of 2023, Chongqing's China-Europe Railway Express made more than 14,000 trips and transported nearly 1.3 million TEUs with a cumulative value of more than CNY500 billion. During this period, China-Europe Railway Express trains have developed 49 routes and connected more than 100 countries and regions at home and abroad.

Today, with more diversified sources of goods, the types of goods transported by China-Europe Railway Express trains have expanded from single laptop products to over ten thousand kinds of goods such as terminal intelligence, complete automobiles and auto parts, high-end medical drugs and equipment, postal parcels, cross-border e-commerce, light industry products, and bulk materials.

As an important carrier and successful practice of the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-Europe Railway Express breaks geographical and cultural barriers and promotes economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between countries.

Established in June 2016, China-Europe Railway Express made its first trip from Chengdu and Chongqing in January 2021, which gave a boost to the high-quality development of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and promoted the mutual benefit and win-win situation.

To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the China-Europe Railway Express, Xinglongchang Station has made full use of the unique advantages of the China-Europe Railway Express (Chengdu-Chongqing) and developed an efficient modern logistics and transportation system, helping Chongqing accelerate the building of an international logistics hub and an inland city with a new height of openness.
