CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The Chongqing Municipal Postal Administration has issued the first international express delivery service license in China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone to Chongqing Jinli International Logistics, said the department on April 2.

Earlier this year, the State Post Bureau of the People’s Republic of China approved the delegation of the examination and approval of business permits for international express delivery within China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, making Chongqing the only municipality (province) in central-western China to examine and approve the issuance of international express delivery service licenses.

To guide enterprises in handling international express delivery service licensing, the Chongqing Municipal Postal Administration has set up a working group on matters concerning the examination and approval of international express delivery service licensing, ascertained the situation of enterprises with the intention of application, and carried out prior communication and guidance since March this year. At the same time, the department held symposiums on international express delivery service licensing and invited international express delivery enterprises in Chongqing to share their experiences and answer common questions so as to help Chinese enterprises overcome difficulties in the license application process.

According to the plan, the Chongqing Municipal Postal Administration will strengthen cooperation with other departments and make good use of favorable policies to create a high-quality environment for the development of the express delivery industry in Chongqing.

To guarantee smooth international shipping, Chongqing Municipal People’s Government has issued ‘Chongqing’s Several Measures on Promoting High-quality Development of Cross-border E-commerce’ and other policies. Thanks to these policies, Yunda Express and SF efficiently transported products to Vietnam along the New Western Land-sea Corridor. In 2023, Chongqing delivered 6,095,400 pieces of goods to foreign countries and China’s Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, up 258.23% from last year, ranking fourth in China in terms of the growth rate.
