For your safety, please stand clear of the doors.” Recently, Station broadcasting in Chongqing dialect is officially launched in "Back-basket Line", piloting at Shichuan and Baoshuigang stations of CRT Line 4. It is reported that this is also the first rail transit line in Chongqing that has launched station broadcasting in dialect.

CRT Line 4, is also known as the "Back-basket Line" for a group of special passengers carrying baskets and shoulder poles often take this line to the central urban areas early to sell vegetables.

The second phase of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 4, connecting Shichuan Town and the central urban area of Yubei District, was opened in June 2022, with a total length of 32.8 kilometers.

Before the opening of CRT Line 4, many vegetable growers in the surrounding areas sold vegetables in Shichuan Town, with low passenger flow and low prices. After the opening of this line, vegetable growers around Shichuan Town can go to the central urban areas to sell vegetables by taking subway.

In the past, some vegetable growers claimed that they could not understand the station broadcasting in Mandarin when taking subway. From now on, the "Back-basket Line" will launch station broadcasting in Chongqing dialect.

"Chongqing dialect sounds cordial" and "Station broadcasting in Chongqing dialect is understandable"... Upon learning that some stations have launched station broadcasting in Chongqing dialect, 71-year-old vegetable grower Ms Guo gave a thumb up.

"I watched the 'Back-basket Line' on the short videos in the past. Today, I heard the station broadcasting in Chongqing dialect on site, which has the characteristics of Chongqing." 25-year-old passenger Huang Zhenlin said that station broadcasting in Chongqing dialect may be more friendly to elderly people taking this line, which also reflects the warmth of Chongqing.

"I heard station broadcasting in three languages on the Guangzhou subway, but today I heard the station broadcasting in Chongqing dialect, which is very down-to-earth and also have the characteristics of Chongqing. I hope such station broadcasting will be used widely in the future." Passenger Wang Huan said that the humanized practice of Chongqing Rail Transit is worth the praise. Liu Xu, Director of the Station Service Department of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 4 Construction Operation Co., Ltd., introduced that they have planned the design of the station broadcasting in Chongqing dialect since the end of last year. Seven to eight versions of broadcasting in Chongqing dialect were recorded by company employees, professional broadcasters, etc. Finally, a version of broadcasting station with female voice was selected. They hope that the voice of the broadcasting is down-to-earth, and the content will reflect the characteristics of Chongqing dialect.

Liu Xu expressed her hope to showcase local characteristics through broadcasting in dialect, making local passengers feel more familiar. Passengers from other places will learn the connotation of Bayu culture by listening to Chongqing Dialect.

Ms Guo told the reporter that the tolerance of other passengers and the help of subway staff made them feel the warmth on the train.

Now, the "Back-basket Line" has launched station broadcasting in Chongqing dialect.

It is expected that by June this year, a bus special line will be opened along the northern extension of Liangjiang Avenue, making seamless connection between buses and Line 4 "back-basket line".

Chongqing Rail Transit Line 4 Construction Operation Co., Ltd. also said that in the future, station broadcasting in dialect will be launched throughout the entire line in a timely manner based on the situation of the pilots.
