CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On April 7, according to Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group, the Tomb-sweeping Festival holiday saw 12,447,000 trips made by Chongqing rail transit, with a daily average of 4,149,000 trips.

During the Tomb-sweeping Festival holiday, the top five lines in Chongqing rail transit network with the largest passenger volume in were Line 3, Line 6, Line 1, Loop Line, and Line 2, with passenger volumes of 2,121,000, 1,987,000, 1,943,000, 1,706,000, and 1,206,000 persons, respectively.

The passenger volumes of stations adjacent to transportation hubs such as South Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station, Chongqingxi Station, and North Square of Chongqingbei Station were 338,000, 287,000, and 192,000 persons, up 74.3%, 127.5%, and 72.9% on a year-on-year basis, respectively.

The passenger transport volumes of stations adjacent to major scenic spots such as Liziba, Ciqikou, and Zoo were 191,000, 171,000, and 163,000 persons, with year-on-year increases of 94.2%, 17.2%, and 40.4%, respectively.
