New energy and overseas markets were the two major sectors with rapid growth for Changan Auto in the first quarter, with 109,000 vehicles sold in overseas markets, up 80.1% from last year; a total of 128,800 vehicles were sold in the new energy sector, up 52.36% from last year.

In overseas markets, Changan Auto has maintained a growth rate of over 30% overseas in the past few years, higher than the industry average, with its products sold in 63 countries and regions worldwide. Zhu Huarong said that Changan Auto plan a production capacity of over 500,000 vehicles in overseas markets and will establish manufacturing bases in Europe, the Americas, and other regions to further expand its path of globalization.

It is reported that Changan plans to complete the layout in the main European markets within 2-3 years. It strives to sell over 300,000 vehicles in the European market by 2030.

In addition to overseas markets, new energy vehicles have become another important support for Changan Auto today. According to official data released by Changan Auto, in the first quarter of this year, the delivery amount of the three major new energy brands Avatr, Deepal, and Metatank reached 14,532, 4,0084, and 32,397, respectively.

In order to further expand the sales scale of new energy vehicles, Changan Auto is carrying out a layout of multi-brand and multi-technology route. Deepal Automobile has launched the model G318, which is expected to be sold within this year. Its comprehensive continuation of the journey is over 1,000km, the maximum generator efficiency is 96.6%, and it can generate 3.63 kWh of electricity with 1L of fuel; model UNI-Z will also be launched soon, which is the first mass-produced model after the release of the Changan New Bluecore Powertrain Platform.
