Chongqing-Nha Trang passenger direct air route resumed

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In the early morning of April 10, with Flight VJ5397 taking off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport to Nha Trang, Vietnam, the direct air route between Chongqing and Vietnam’s Nha Trang was resumed. It is the third international (regional) direct passenger flight route resumed following the air routes to Milan and Phnom Penh in 2024.

The first flight of the Chongqing-Nha Trang air route used the Airbus A321 and carried 214 passengers. Operated by VietJet, the route operates one or two times per week. The departure flight VJ5397 plans to take off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 2:20 and arrive at Cam Ranh International Airport at 4:55; the return flight VJ5396 will depart Cam Ranh International Airport at 20:45 and arrive in Chongqing at 01:15 on the next day (all above times are all local times).

Nha Trang, a coastal city in south-central Vietnam, is a popular tourist destination for diving in Southeast Asia.

Currently, the international (regional) passenger air routes operated by Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport reached 23, and the operating flights exceed 100 per week. In the near future, the airport will continue to develop the international (regional) passenger route network and increase the number of air routes to Singapore, Seoul, and Kuala Lumpur, so as to provide passengers with more travel options.
