CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Peony, pomegranate, plum blossom... On April 11, at the 3rd National Culture Festival held by Chongqing Metropolitan College of Science and Technology, 12 "flower goddesses" dressed in Hanfu gracefully appeared to celebrate the "Flower Festival".
It is reported that this National Cultural Festival, themed by" Intangible Cultural Heritage of Flower, Feast of National Culture", combined with the cultural elements of the traditional Chinese festival "Flower Festival", has designed four major theme areas.
"I really like this activity," Wan Yaochi said excitedly, a freshman at Chongqing Metropolitan College of Science and Technology. She has been following this activity for a long time and has been looking forward to it. She said that she has a habit of wearing Hanfu and has a strong interest in Chinese culture. she felt very happy that such activity can be held at the university which allows her to experience Chinese culture.
At the scene, "twelve flower goddesses" dressed in Hanfu appeared, walking gracefully with their clothes fluttering, making the audience feel as if they traveled to ancient times and were among flowers. In addition, there were many folk games such as cuju, pitch pot, archery, and peg-top, allowing students to easily access the ancient folk recreation; Intangible cultural heritage programs such as head-pinned flowers making, twined flowers making, ancient paper-making, round silk fan with pressed flowers, and lantern making allow students to experience the unique charm of traditional handicrafts at close range.
Gong Yumeng, Secretary of the Youth League Branch of the School of Economics and Management at Chongqing Metropolitan College of Science and Technology, told the reporter that the School of Economics and Management has held the National Culture Festival for three consecutive years. Through the activities in the first two years, it is found that students are very fond of the national culture. In her view, the youth of the new era should spread and present these excellent traditional cultures in a diversified and multi-angle manner rather than keeping them in their own hands and corresponding carriers, so as to attract more people to devote themselves to the cause of cultural inheritance.
"The Flower Festival is a romantic festival that celebrates the birthday of flowers. Activities are held such as spring outings and flower enjoying, head-pinned flowers making and twined flowers making, and other special activities.
