CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On April 12, a hydrogen-powered truck, loaded with packing materials, departed Chengdu and headed for Vietnam after customs clearance at Chongqing Nanpeng Road Bonded Logistics Center (Type B). It was the first hydrogen-powered truck along New Western Land-sea Corridor.
Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor is a fast transportation line for hydrogen-powered vehicles, which deeply integrates the preponderant industrial resources of Sichuan and Chongqing.
The hydrogen-powered truck used for the cross-border transport of packing materials this time is capable of topping 400 kilometers on a full charge and features high power, low hydrogen consumption, long ranges, and zero carbon emission, which can meet the requirements of inter-city logistics transportation.
Hydrogen-powered trucks represent an innovative measure to reduce pollution and carbon dioxide emission in cross-border highway transportation, which will help Chengdu and Chongqing to build an integrated and interconnected hydrogen-powered economic network and facilitate the construction of a green, healthy, and sustainable economic channel, according to Chongqing Highway Logistics Base.
