CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 2024 Sichuan Cultural Tourism Promotion took place in Chongqing from April 23 to April 24, offering a wide range of activities, such as the Tianfu Tourism Food Fair and Sichuan-Chongqing promotion activities, to display the characterful tourism resources of Sichuan and Chongqing and drive the Sichuan and Chongqing tourism markets during the upcoming May Day holiday.

Six high-quality themed travel routes in Sichuan were released in the Sichuan Cultural Tourism Promotion, covering the history, culture, natural wonders, entertainment, and local specialties of Sichuan.

During the event, a profusion of cultural and tourism resources and products of Sichuan were displayed in the exhibition venues for all cultural and tourism departments and travel associations in Sichuan. Leshan Sweet Duck, Sichuan spicy diced chicken with peanuts, Luzhou Gulin Spicy Chicken, Zigong Cold Rabbit, Dazhou Dengying Beef, and many other Sichuan specialties, as well as the culture, history, and production techniques of Sichuan cuisine, made the Tianfu Tourism Food Fair a magnet for visitors.

With the concerted efforts made by Sichuan and Chongqing, the construction of the Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor has shifted its focus to deepened innovation from an all-round start in recent years. Since the launch of the construction of the Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor, the cultural tourism departments of Sichuan and Chongqing have established a cooperation mechanism, released a series of initiatives for cultural tourism, built an important cooperation platform, and carried out regular cooperation and exchange activities, achieving several significant achievements.

A few days ago, the Jialing River Tourism Art Collection activity co-sponsored by Sichuan and Chongqing was launched. During the event, media, photographers, and travel agency representatives from Sichuan and Chongqing walked along the Jialing River to experience the beautiful views of the river. The 2024 Sichuan Cultural Tourism Promotion, following the art collection activity, has further enriched the achievements in the construction of the Bashu Cultural and Tourism Corridor.
