CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter recently learned that the First Chongqing Low-Altitude Flight Consumption Week in 2024 will be held in Chongqing Municipal from April 30 to May 5. The launching ceremony will be held at Jiefangbei at 10:00 am on April 30, and supporting activities such as signing, licensing, release, and display will be organized simultaneously.

Five sub-venues will be set up in Liangjiang New District, Banan, Yongchuan, Dazu and Liangping. In addition, flight activity areas will be established in Longxing Airport, Liangping Airport, Da’an Airport, Central Park, Guangyang Island, Babin Road, Longshui Lake and Changshou Lake to provide low-altitude flight experience for citizens and tourists.

According to the person in charge of the Military-Civilian Integration Office of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, this event includes three aspects: knowing low-altitude flight, enjoying low-altitude flight, and realizing low-altitude flight.

In terms of knowing low-altitude flight, the event will focus on low-altitude application scenarios through activities such as low-altitude aircraft static exhibition in the main venue, low-altitude knowledge popularization, low-altitude flight performances in each sub-venue, low-altitude economic forums, and application scenario demonstration flights.

In terms of enjoying low-altitude flight, the event will select and launch a variety of low-altitude flight consumption formats, including paragliding, delta wing, parachuting and other low-altitude flight sports, low-altitude sightseeing experience represented by light fixed wings, helicopters, and hot air balloons, and aircraft driving training, low-altitude education services represented by low-altitude flight study. At the same time, it will also issue low-altitude flight consumption map in Chongqing and low-altitude flight consumption coupons in order to promote the shift of low-altitude flight projects from “niche experience” to “mass consumption”.

In terms of realizing low-altitude flight, Chongqing will open the first urban air traffic route from Chongqing International Bio-City in Banan to Longxing General Airport in Liangjiang New District during the event, and the commuting time between the two places will only take 10 minutes. Moreover, Chongqing will sign contracts for a number of low-altitude intelligent manufacturing projects, establish low-altitude flight social organizations, award license to low-altitude economic pilot zones, and invite a group of industry experts, business representatives and low-altitude flight enthusiasts to gather in Chongqing to build Chongqing’s low-altitude economic ecology.
