CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- From May 10th to 14th, 2024, the China Brand Day event is held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. The event includes activities such as the opening ceremony, the China Brand Development Conference, and the China Brand Expo.

The reporter witnessed at the scene that as crowds swarmed in, the bustling and colorful Chongqing Pavilion, offering delicious food and fun, had transformed into a popular "check-in" spot for the 2024 China Brand Day event.

Boil water, cook the noodles, and pour the seasoning into the bowl... After three to five minutes, a piping hot bowl of Chongqing spicy noodles is brought to the table. "The noodles are ready! Those who missed the last round, now's your chance!" With the shouts of the "Mianyan spicy noodles" chef, the audience eagerly approached, receiving bowl after bowl of spicy and fragrant noodles, delighting in every bite.

In addition to the aromatic and enticing noodles that left exhibition visitors practically unable to walk due to their cravings, there were also oranges from the Three Gorges, sweet enough to touch the hearts of the audience. Just as a plate of freshly cut oranges was brought out by staff from the Three Gorges Citrus Group, it was instantly devoured.

"These oranges have tender flesh, thin peel, abundant juice, a sweet and soft taste, and are low in acidity, making them a rare delicacy," exclaimed Mrs. Chen, a Shanghai resident visiting the exhibition, after tasting them, giving a thumbs-up in admiration. Meanwhile, Mr. Li, standing nearby, immediately placed an order and bought a box of oranges to take home, saying, "I want my family to try them too."

It is understood that the current citrus planting area in Chongqing is approximately 3.9 million mu, with an annual output of nearly 4.4 million tons and an annual comprehensive output value of nearly 100 billion yuan. As a representative of Chongqing citrus, the influence of the "Three Gorges Citrus" brand is continuously expanding.

In addition to the spicy noodles and oranges, the Chongqing Pavilion has more surprises for everyone. Just across from the noodle exhibition area, the "Chongqing-style Elevator" unveils a new experience: within a unique "elevator space," visitors can press buttons for different "floors," allowing them to feast their eyes on the distinctive scenic beauty of Chongqing displayed on a large screen right before them. What's even more engaging is that visitors can interact with the system in amusing ways.

"Welcome everyone aboard the 'sightseeing elevator' for a tour of the beautiful scenery of Chongqing," the staff at the Chongqing Pavilion exhibition area busily guided numerous visitors to "check-in." "Our 'elevator' has a total of 20 floors, and you can freely 'switch floors' to see different scenic views of Chongqing."

"This design is very distinctive. When I visited Chongqing, what left a deep impression on me was the sightseeing elevators that are ubiquitous in Chongqing. Being in them, observing the scenery, with the height and perspective constantly changing, the visual experience undergoes peculiar transformations," Ms. Zhou from Jiangsu told reporters.

After experiencing the "sightseeing elevator," Ms. Zhou then stood in the radar sensing area and "unlocked" over 40 geographical indication agricultural products from Chongqing, experiencing the unique charm of specialties such as Dianjiang peonies, Shizhu goldthread, Xiushan Maojian Tea, and more.

Having admired the cultural and tourism exhibits for quite some time, Ms. Feng, a resident of Shanghai, specifically approached the staff to inquire about the Dazu Rock Carvings. She remarked, "The Dazu Rock Carvings are so magical and exquisite. I must find an opportunity to visit Chongqing and see them for myself."(Translated by Liu Xilin, Fathom Language Limited)
