CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On May 15, the opening ceremony of Chongqing JD MALL and the award ceremony for selection of green and intelligent home appliances were held in Chongqing. The reporter learned that the first JD MALL store in Chongqing will be officially opened in the Yangjiaping Commercial District in Jiulongpo on June 15. This is another JD commercial entity established in Chongqing, following the JD Super Experience Store which opened in Chongqing in 2019.

Chongqing JD MALL, covering a construction area of 60,000 square meters in total, collaborating with over 200 well-known brands, bringing together 200,000 types of goods, is committed to creating a comprehensive consumer commercial entity with all scenarios that integrates cutting-edge, fashionable and cool technologies, in order to meet consumers’ shopping needs for all scenarios and multiple categories of goods.

The entire mall has six storeys, each divided into areas with different categories of goods and experience areas. On the basement first floor, 5,000-square-meter areas are planned for dining, leisure and clothing, with milk tea, coffee and popular snacks provided on each floor.

"In 2019, Chongqing JD Super Experience Store opened, while JD MALL is the evolution and upgrade of JD Electronic Super Experience Store, with improvements achieved in product categories, business models and user experience." The relevant person in charge of JD MALL in Chongqing introduced that JD MALL has broken the traditional purposeful purchasing pattern, focusing on providing a good sense of experience, so as to make it easier for consumers to learn the product functions in an immersive manner.

For example, in the experience area integrating functions of laundry, drying and care in the JD MALL, customers hand over their clothes to the store staff, and they can get the clothes back after 1 hour which have been washed and cared, which is free of charge; in the front category area on the 5th floor, there are "home scenarios", including various balcony scenarios, providing customers with more home references.

It is stated that during the soft opening of JD MALL, more than 40,000-square-meter area will be opened, including all areas on the first to third floors and some areas on the fourth and fifth floors. "Many brand stores in the mall are the largest ones in the southwest region or even the whole country," said the relevant person in charge of Chongqing JD MALL.

To promote green intelligent home appliances, JD MALL has launched a subsidy and welfare program during the soft opening, offering a 20% discount by trading new goods for old ones, and extra-value promotions such as offering 1.5 horsepower first level energy-efficient air conditioners for free if kitchen and bathroom products are bought up to a certain amount, and a maximum reduction of 4,000 yuan for home appliance purchases, making it more affordable for consumers to trade new products for old ones.
