Chongqing's auto output rises 10.1% in Q1

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In the first quarter of 2024, Chongqing’s auto industry experienced a 23.7% growth in the value-added and a 10.1% increase in total output, with the output of new energy vehicles doubling to 165,100, according to the auto industry key work promotion meeting held by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information on May 21.
Since the beginning of 2024, the auto industry in Chongqing has made remarkable achievements in brand building, cultivation of industrial chain, supporting facilities, and promotion of NEVs, etc., said an official from the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information. Next, the development of Chongqing’s auto industry will focus on ‘three focuses, three overall plans, and three principles’.
Specifically, ‘three focuses’ refer to focusing on improving the quality and efficiency of investment attraction, promoting the transformation and upgrading of enterprises, and fostering an atmosphere for industrial development so as to promote the agglomeration of auto industry chains; ‘three overall plans’ represent overall coordination, overall planning, and overall security that aim to speed up the layout of charging facilities; and ‘three principles’ mean to adopt a working method carried out according to the plan, target, schedule, and requirements, develop a service consciousness, and set up a clear policy direction to better serve the development of automobile enterprises, enhance the driving force for industrial development, and make plans for several major projects in the auto industry that will drive the development of the auto industry.
