Build a smart expressway to improve the traffic efficiency of toll stations

According to Chongqing Expressway Group, Chongqing Expressway has a total mileage of 4,224 kilometers open to traffic and has formed a road network layout of "Three Rings and Sixteen Radioactive Multiple Lines", with 31 exit channels, and a road network density of 5.1 kilometers per 100 square kilometers, making it rank first in the western region.

Chongqing Expressway is promoting intelligent operation in an all-round way. It has successively improved the quality of expressways in the central urban area, built the first batch of all scenario intelligent toll stations in Chongqing, and completed the construction of the 135-kilometer intelligent expressway section from Jieshi to Wulong on the Chongqing-Hunan Expressway.

Taking the intelligent expressway section from Jieshi to Wulong on the Chongqing-Hunan Expressway as an example, this section combines highway data brain, AI base services to create a super integrated intelligent control platform. The toll station on the G65 Banan mainline has effectively alleviated congestion at the toll station through technological innovation and intelligent transformation, increasing the traffic efficiency by about 20%.

In terms of maintenance and intelligent management, real-time monitoring is conducted for 45 bridges across the Yangtze River, Jialing River and Grand Canyon by establishing a health monitoring system for highway long bridge structures.

170 superchargers expected to be built in the service areas by the end of this year

"The layout of Chongqing Expressway Supercharger Network has been fully launched." According to the relevant person in charge of Chongqing Expressway Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd., currently, 22 superchargers with a capacity of 480KW or more and 27 supercharge piles have been built in the service areas of Chongqing Expressway.

Supercharging refers to a high-power charging technology that provides electricity to electric vehicles through only one charging gun, with a charging power of 480kW or more. Compared to fast charging, supercharging is much faster and takes less time, which can provide users with a "one second, one kilometer" charging experience and make charge & leave possible. It is expected that by the end of this year, 170 superchargers will be built by the Chongqing Expressway.

The reporter learned that Chongqing Expressway Group has also worked with Guizhou Expressway Group and Guangxi Communications Investment Group to jointly build the new western land-sea corridor (expressway) electric corridor, and built supporting facilities such as electric heavy-duty truck chargers and battery-swap station along the Chongqing-Beibu Gulf Expressway of the new western land-sea corridor. At present, the Chongqing-Hunan Expressway Daguan Heavy Duty Truck Battery Swap Demonstration Station has been built, and the entire electric corridor is planned to be completed by 2026.
